Google will shut down its Inbox app next month. The company has not revealed the exact date but confirmed the shut down saying Inbox is signing and users can find their favourite features in the new Gmail. Google is now reportedly testing some Inbox features in the Gmail for Android.
A Reddit user has shared a screenshot of the new Gmail Android app and it has some inbox features like bundles and ability to pin emails. The screenshot claims to show an show an internal build of the new Gmail app for Android.
If the screenshot is to be gone by, there are three Inbox features that Google is currently working on to add to Gmail. First is the bundle feature. Bundles basically group emails together in your inbox so that all the emails from a publication is kept at once place and you don’t have to go through the entire inbox to look for it. It makes your inbox looks clean and searchable.
The second feature that could make its way to Gmail is the reminders. This feature helps you remember something. Third is the pin emails feature. The feature helps you to keep your most important email on top so that you can keep a track of your important emails. There is no specific date when the feature would come to Gmail but there are chances that Google could announce it at the time of Google IO 2019.
A lot of Inbox features have already made their way to Gmail since last year including nudge, smart reply and more. Google has
recently also added the Undo and Redo shortcuts directly into the compose window of Gmail. As the name suggests, the undo button can be used to restore the content before the change was made while the Redo button can be used for altering the changes.
